Outdoors in Winter...

In winter, this area comes into its own:

Over 80km of groomed cross-country skiing trails, snow-shoeing and dog-sledding through pin-drop quiet forests, endless mid-country and high alpine skiing: all these are right here.

It's the perfect antidote to the sorry circus of the downhill resorts - although there's a 1000-foot slope for that, too!

Snowmobiling is also big - and, for children from 2 to 200, sledding in the gravity-powered form

If you need gear or guidance, we just happen to run the only x-c ski-business in the area, Bearfoot Outdoors...

There are details of the high-alpine ski-tours and other delights run by Ian Eakins & Tay Briggs here
- Wells Gray Adventures
and of Steve & Tannis Mullens' dog-sledding operation here
- Alaskan Husky Adventures
Of course, we're able to organise both these on your behalf.
